why you want to recycle
The benefits to the community as a result of the implementation of a recycling facility
are numerous however some of the most obvious are:
-
correct recycling reduces landfill by up to 80%
-
greenhouse emissions are reduced
-
valuable commodities and materials can be reused
-
the environmental impact of local manufacturers is reduced as they can use recycled raw materials
-
recycling provides a sustainable solution for the disposal of residential waste
-
local recycling cleans the local environment
how do we do it
The design team meet with you to research your specific waste disposal and/or recycling requirements
and determine the correct plant and equipment suitable to meet those needs. They then work with the
IMS manufacturing team and OEM suppliers to successfully build a recycling facility that:
-
solves your disposal problems
-
is environmentally friendly
-
enables you to reclaim reusable materials
-
provides reclaim of recyclable materials
-
develops an income stream for you from the sale/use of the reclaimed materials
-
provides a rapid return on investment
The recycling systems implemented by IMS utilise the latest technology and we have co-operative
agreements with the world's most respected manufacturers of recycling equipment in Europe, Asia,
Australia, and the USA, enabling us to install the most suitable, cost effective, reliable, and
efficient system for you
Our experienced engineering team will support your local community by utilising your local
contractors to install your facility and equipment with our hands-on supervision and assistance.
This method ensures that we are able to train your local contractors ready for future maintenance
work whilst ensuring we maintain competitive cost structures
residential waste recycling option
The residential waste recycling method facilitated by IMS is the same system that is being used
successfully in Australia and many other countries. This system is known as a "Materials Recycling
Facility" and in Australia the basic operation is as follows:
-
two bin system (colour coded) - one for organic waste and one for recyclable materials
-
kerbside collection - trucks collect contents of the recycling bins
-
trucks deliver full loads of recyclable product to MRF
-
automated equipment in MRF sorts mixed recyclable product into specified end products
(paper of all types, plastic of all types, glass of all types, ferrous and non-ferrous metals
-
the glass can be further sorted into colours if required
-
the end products are then baled ready for sale to manufacturers as recycled raw materials
-
the glass is stored in silos to be transferred to delivery trucks for sale to manufacturers
